1985 – 1998: Prison Legal Services Boston Massachusetts. Civil Rights Attorney, Administrative Director, and Lobbyist, with specialties in HIV/AIDS in Prison legal issues, incarcerated battered women (The "Framingham Eight"), pregnant incarcerated women, and prison overcrowding
1984 – 1985: Centro Presente. Staff Attorney, working on asylum applications for Central Americans living in the Boston area
1980 – 1984: Law firm of Homans, Hamilton, Dahmen and Marshall. Worked directly with William P. Homans as attorney in his civil rights and criminal defense practice
1973 – May: “Battered Women: How to Use the Law” (Organizer and Initiator). Led project of lawyers and social service provides to create the first self-help handbook for battered women in Massachusetts, entitled.
